About The Event
A 'well-educated city-girl' from Delhi, brought up comfortably, with no reason to complain. However, she felt she never got enough opportunity to explore her deep love for sport and movement to be able to acquire enough skills early on. Additionally, our societal and education patterns led her to believe that these activities, which actually made her feel ecstatic, were in fact, only recreational bits of fun to fill time and add some dimension to one's personality.
Kriti Gupta studied Interior Design from CEPT, Ahmedabad, and practiced it for 3 years. But she has been practicing Vanargiri/Parkour/ADD (l'art du replacement) since 2014 and shifted to its practice and coaching full-time in 2017.
“It's my passion, lifestyle, and my profession. I started - Vanarshala - with 3 partners, who are also an integral part of my life. We used my education to design and create India's biggest outdoor Parkour/ADD/Vanargiri training facility - the Shala - in Gurgaon”, says Kriti.
To hear more about this wonderful story, join her, with Aman and Nitish, going live on Instagram straight from the Shala, where they have happily quarantined themselves!
Aman Roy is a Parkour & Movement practitioner for 10 years, Coach, Kriti’s mentor, and Co-founder of Vanarshala.
Nitish Roy is also a Parkour and Movement practitioner and coach with team Vanarshala.
We will learn some basics of Parkour, understand what Movement means to them, how it has transformed their lives, get a virtual tour of the Shala and a peek into the adventurous, one-with-nature lifestyle they have crafted for themselves.
